Empowering Every Voice
Are communication barriers holding back you or someone you care about?
At Patterned Pathways, I believe communication is a fundamental human right. My practice specializes in supporting individuals of all ages through speech‑language therapy and through coaching for families and professionals. My goal is to make communication accessible, meaningful, and empowering for every person I work with.
A Mission for Meaningful Connection
My mission is to help individuals communicate to their full potential while working closely with caregivers & professionals to learn techniques to carryover communication strategies in all environments. If you are a parent, teacher, or therapist feeling frustrated or overwhelmed by the communication barriers faced by your child or client, know that you are not alone. At Patterned Pathways, I bring over 20 years of experience supporting complex communicators and helping turn frustration into meaningful dialogue and connection.

I take a functional, naturalistic, and holistic approach to therapy and coaching, focusing on the whole person and their team rather than a single problem. My goal is to build independence for the individual and to support the people around them in ways that truly enhance everyday communication and quality of life.

Meet Debbie
Debbie Perry has been practicing since 2006. She is an AAC specialist with extensive experience supporting children, families, caregivers, and professionals across school, private practice, and community settings.
Debbie has a strong focus on working with people with multiple and complex disabilities, with special focus in Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) and deafblindness, and how these learners can access AAC and other assistive technologies. She has received training through Meaningful Speech on the Natural Language Acquisition Framework to support gestalt language development and is well versed in teaching literacy skills through use of the Comprehensive Literacy for All framework.

In addition to her clinical work, Debbie teaches courses on AAC and CVI and provides coaching to caregivers and professionals on integrating AAC use across environments including schools, homes, and community. She is passionate about building inclusive, functional communication systems that empower children and their families and loves collaborating with everyone on a child's team.

Outside of her professional work, Debbie is a proud mom of two children, a role that continues to inspire and deepen her commitment to supporting families on their communication journeys.
